Since I first advertised the forum here, it's had some changes here are there... such as fixing up the Alpha Plus skin (where all its images were reuploaded, as beforehand they had a Photobucket watermark over them, and that guests can now change skin following a Jcink update from over a year ago that was most-requested) but the major one is the including of new forum sections dedicated to networking, engineering and AI (however, the first two have not had any threads posted there yet... so could you be the one to do this?).

Also, general stats... 6,234 posts and 63 members.

Update on the stats... 6,768 posts and 68 members. Doing reasonably well, I suppose.

Also, some more changes done to the forum as described from this post onwards (but the main things to say are an icon next to a person's name to denote that they're the topic starter, and that default skin has been switched back to Alpha Plus).

I should say that more changes are coming soon... where one of them is a new skin jointly created by me and @Cory and it should be rolled out to the masses by the middle or end of this month, just depends 🙂

We now have 7,021 posts and 74 members.

Also, default skin now changed to Hybrix Neon, one of our dark themes. This is based on the fact that dark themes are popular amongst many people, from research I did earlier. Whether this will help rake in new members or not, I'm not bothered 😛

7,141 posts, but still 74 members...

Now I hope to change that as I've added a new forum section to do with technical support (find it at the bottom of the "Other Tech" category). Was an idea I thought about for a while and I hope it does me and the community good in the long run 🙂 👍

I would like to announce that the forum now has its own domain name, which is mindsconnected.tech. However, for anyone that has an account there, you will need to log in to the forum again under it.

On top of that, 7,821 posts and 84 members. Hopefully this will change with the new domain itself 🙂

8,124 posts and 88 members...

Also, for anybody that uses the Web Of Light skin, derived from the one used by an old forum of mine, all its images have been fixed.

Furthermore, one of the forum sections is modified to allow talk about cybersecurity (where it's now "Networking & Cybersecurity", and I did this because the two topics go hand-in-hand often). There's been few updates before that but they're very minor...

And now, advertising some threads of interest, because I can 😛

And, I will say that while it's true that the forum lacks the attention it much deserves, especially when it was a relatively strong entrant to this year's Site Battle Madness, I still require your support to make it the best thing ever for all things tech, whether you're a die-hard Linux nerd or just someone needing computer help. We're closing in onto the member count milestone as you may see already... 😉

We now have 8,347 posts and 89 members.

And once again, I will advertise some of the most recent threads of interest in hope to bring in more people...

Also, we have a dedicated thread about Canadian politics, something that I personally followed and good time for me to advertise it here given that it's election day there today... (and maybe something to bring in at least one new Canadian member, something that the forum didn't have since it reopened months ago, haha).

I'm sorry to announce that, by mutual agreement between myself and @CodyCool yesterday, the forum is now closed - again.

The offline message will say the rest but, the forum was clearly dying a slow death and really it came from me losing all motivation with it.

I want to thank the members that kept it going up until that point, and everyone for giving their support.

Now, it's time to move on...
