Family tracks down missing son Nick Simmons after his photo runs in local newspaper

A FAMILY has tracked down their missing son after they happened to see a photo of him in their local newspaper, attached to a story about the cold weather snap currently hitting the US.

Nicholas Simmons, 20, who had been missing from his hometown of Greece, New York since New Year's Day, was found in Washington DC overnight.

I have been following this for a few days. I posted this same exact post on my forum. I'm still wondering if it was like the movie "hangover" sorta thing. Did he get drunk and forget where he was? Why didn't he just go to the local police station? Why didn't he call anybody that he knew?
