AP US History isn't hard compared to AP BC Calculus, AP Physics or AP Biology.
But if you take any of those classes, and don't do much work, either you are very bright or your school district isn't up to par. Or maybe my school district is just overteaching us...

What district do you go to? I know you live in NY also.

It depends where your strengths are. I know a lot of kids who couldn't handle AP World in 9th grade and dropped out but are in AP Calc now.
I'm in AB Calculus right now and it's pretty easy.. glad I'm not doing BC, I hear its brutal. All the subjects come easy to me.. I do the worst in Math out of all of my subjects but I never go under an A minus. My worst grade was in Computer/Career Essentials 😛

To be a voice in the storm here,

My AP Classes were extremly hard. It was basicly a college course. I had to study hours each night :\

Ya I missed alot of school. I just hated how they would drill the same simple concept into your head for like a week.

I ended up dropping out and getting my GED tho, not the smartest choice but hey it worked. Highschool was just not my thing.

Ok, It's time to put my mothers hat on again........make the most of your time at school if you can, when you become an adult life is much more stressful, bills to pay, kids to worry about, health etc!

When you are at school (most of you) have the freedom to joke about with friends, skip class if you wish, hang out, chill and generally enjoy your youth. It's over before you can blink so make the most of it. :great:

I just never had that problem.. I haven't taken AP Physics yet but I still don't see the trouble behind it I can handle calculus trig geometry whatever... just need to practice it each night. Most of the people I know have problems with AP US or World... I just love History so I don't need to study like at all luckily I've gotten teachers who don't require notes just advise them... but I'm sure there are people who don't need to study math or science either. Everyones different, but I think if you are on top of things all the time, you can take a day off once in a while.

Yeah, however our system is set to, if you have a lower than 90 in the class, you are kicked out. trig wasent that bad, I am not great at math but it made more sense for some reason.

Mine is set at 85, but I've never been below a 92 in any of my AP classes. Like I said I havent done physics yet though so I don't know.

I'm near Albany. If you want my exact district, I can PM it to you.

Though you are completely right when it comes to strengths. I've always been decent at history, compared to fellow people in my class who don't know who Hoover or Eisenhower are, so I guess I'm just assuming that the History APs are easier.

I live down on Long Island, my district has tons of AP classes, its one of the top high schools in the nation so its not like were underchallenged.
They are easier for me, but there are a lot of kids who can't write a DBQ or a CCOT essay but can do multivariable calculus.
