With the IMF now disbanded and Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, a new threat -- called the Syndicate -- soon emerges. The Syndicate is a network of highly skilled operatives who are dedicated to establishing a new world order via an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Faced with what may be the most impossible mission yet, Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), a disavowed British agent who may or may not be a member of this deadly rogue nation.

....Just saw this, I thought it was pretty good. 🙂

I should be looking at Tom Cruise, but I'm really happy to see Jeremy Renner here, lol. Probably going to check the movie tonight, the trailer looks great and overall I quite like MI movies. 🙂

I watched the movie this weekend, but it was not upto the mark compared to the previous versions of MI. Tom Cruise was excellent, but still they could have made it better.

We were debating over watching this or Antman the other night. We ended up choosing Antman. From the sound of what you guys are saying I guess I will wait until it comes out on Blu Ray. 🙂

I second that! I prefer Ghost Protocol, Renner did cooler things there, too. It's not bad, but it's not up to my expectations either. I'd recommend picking Ant Man to watch if anyone has to choose between those.

Meh. I don't really see what the big deal about this movie is. I watched Ant Man instead of this and even though I did not see Rogue Nation, I think Ant Man was better, at-least from the previews of Rogue Nation that is. 😛

It depends. Renner is obviously only supporting lead there, so he can't have more show time or cooler things compared to Cruise. I was happy to see him, but I'd rather see him in a lead role than a supporting one. Doesn't mean the overall action and plot is bad, though. 🙂

Renner didn't come up that much either in Ghost Protocol, but he did cool stuff each time he makes an appearance. In Rogue Nation he's too overshadowed, but I'm sure I'm biased since I liked him since his gig as Hawkeye in The Avengers.

I've watched both and personally I'd say Ant Man is much more satisfying.

Why put yourself in a situation to choose one or the other?

I saw BOTH Mission Impossible AND Ant Man :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Money.

Makes sense, I didn't pay for either. Someone took me out both times. 😛

It looks pretty hardcore, especially with Tom Cruise literally strapping himself to a plane, lol.
