Some people seem young or old but really aren't. For instance, I might mistakenly think @JoshuaFarrell is old due to his Papa Smurf avatar. Also, I thought this forum owner was middle-aged or at least an older adult because of his lion avatar (and he runs a philosophy forum) - but actually he was only 18 and starting college. 🙄

Yeah, ages can be commonly mistaken by appearances that those individual people may try to show.

I often mistake Xbox gamers for eleven or twelve year olds when in fact they are in their thirties. Who knew!

Everyone. The average age of someone who plays games is 31 years old. In fact, more gamers are over the age of 36 than between the ages of 18 to 35 or under the age of 18.

Did you mean, thirteens? 😛

I have never experienced XBox gamers, only PC ones and you don't get too many under the age of 16 playing games on PC, there are a few of course, and probably more who just never speak up. I am a terrible judge of age when it comes to looking at someone face to face.

I remember in college when we had mistaken one professor as our classmate because he looked young. In my first employment, our boss looked like a balding grandfather but he was only 35. Yeah, looks can be deceiving.

I've had people tell me I look as much as 4-10 years younger than my actual age so I know personally what that is like. I will also tell you that I'm terrible at guessing the age of some other people.

I tend to see allot of older people above 35 to game. I mean there is an guy in his 80s that live twitch stream gaming pc content and Xbox. Also there is an guy that I support and mod for that's in his 50s who has two desktop, one for stream other gaming.

Here is why. Those older age groups have more money to spend on there gear and also they tend to have more free time since they already worked. Between 18 to 35, working hard to earn, collage, not able to game much since they can't afford.. Also mums and dads may stop them for 11 to 18 year olds

Age doesn't seem to mean much at a college. In fact, a lot of students are older than the professors. Also, a lot of professors are not obsessed rank but simply are just doing their job - and of course, if students act up - they can just call the campus police.

We can just see how advanced we are today. I remember being hooked in video games when I was in college. Growing up did not change my slight addiction to games. Perhaps when we reached the age of 50 we'd start to totally leave it behind.

you cant really tell someones age online without seeing a real photo but even then you can sometimes be mistaken... personality and behaviour doesn't say anything as there is lots of young teens who act quite mature their age and lots of 20+ who still act like a no life online so ...
