Not sure what's gotten into the mods here but half the things I have clicked on have been closed or archived. I know its fun for you guys to get off on being able to close threads but you're just killing any type of potential fun and preventing further posts (with exception to this one) from being made.

Can you provide some examples? If you're talking about the topics in Community Matters, that forum shouldn't be used for fun and jokes, sorry to say. It's a forum that should be used for serious suggestions and matters.

Now you're deadnaming me! This is the most serious abuse I have ever endured from a moderator! I demand that this staff member "Gio" be thoroughly disciplined!

You will always be known to me as such. 😉

Just to reiterate, those topics and topics like that will eventually be closed because while they're done in a fun nature and they're fine in the Off Topic forum, the CM forum should be used only for needing help, or suggestions that are serious.

It's not too late. There are still a lot of serious problems on FP that need to be resolved. For example, the background needs to be changed to the following image:

Is it really hurting anything to leave a joke thread about Pad selling her account in CM for a few hours? I don't think it does. The whole idea that everything should be serious 24/7 is a buzzkill. It really doesn't matter that much to literally anyone.

As from reading this topic, You can see that it started off with the right answer to off topic to joking around.

We're not here for the fun side of locking, archived, removing threads/posts. We have an job to keep things clean, Keeping on topic, keeping threads to related to the subject.

This started as a Community Matters topic, though.

Also, I can see why you guys would need to keep the Community Matters forum clean if there were tons of topics coming in every day. However, with current activity levels, is it really going to confuse anyone to have a silly topic here and there?
