*This is for people who have installed mods themselves... Not people using free hosts*
How confident are you install mods? Everytime you upload the modified files do you always think that there is going to endless errors or when you upload them are you quite confident that the mod will work fine?
Hugely confident with MODs, to the extent I can install them quickly, easily and should anything go wrong quickly troubleshoot what's gone wrong and where to fix it. Also got a few people I do paid MOD installs for these days because of my speed and experience.
Didn't take long to get comfortable. It's a shame that the guys at phpBB have made it seem so daunting to install a MOD, because it's literally just a case of copy / pasting. I think a lot of people would be much more confident installing MODs if they had someone sat next to them showing how to do it for the first time, as tutorials can still be confusing.
Im pretty confident with them too. I can install mods without errors but there are times i find myself having to look over the code and fixing an error or fixing it so it suits my likings. All it takes is the ability to read and write 😉.
I used to be nervous everytime i uploaded the edited files even though it never usually went wrong... Now, i only tend to be a bit nervous when they are big mods. I installed the Ultimate Points Mod last night for someone and that is a huge mod and i uploaded the files expecting 1 error caused by 1 edit placed after instead of before or something but it did all work fine.
Mods like quick reply i can install in a couple of minutes and i am pretty sure that they will work first time. It is only mods that require like 20+ edits that i get nervous about.
