I have two forums that are monetized with Adsense. One of my forums was a blog when adsense approved, later, I removed the blog and converted the site into a forum. MY second forum was rejected by adsense a couple of times, therefore, I added a blog section and finally got approved. How many forum posts did you have before your forum was approved by adsense.

I got approved right away with no problems 😉 however, it's not like I'm making real money at all 🙁 Not like you can pick any other as they are the number one

I monetized one of my blogs and a forum with adsense at the same time. The blog earns well but earnings on the forum are negligible. The problem with earnings on a forum is it doesn't get enough search traffic.

You should protect the adsense ads from the bot clicks as this could lead to decrease of earning as I read from somewhere this is because even member could click on ads that doesn't interest it and this leads to having some problems with adsence account.

Just think how much AdSense is making from your site and you only get 50%

I have always gotten approved, but always submitted sites that had a forum attached to them vs just a forum.

It has nothing to do with the type of website. It has everything to do with these criterias: Populate the site with at least a few posts (Google doesn't directly say, but 100 is what I saw.), and the site has to have been online for a long time. Build the site up, rank it, and THEN put Adsense on the bitch. (In a manner of speaking.)

They don't make money with a new forum. They make money where traffic is booming.

I never had a problem with getting Adsense approved because I know WHEN to enable Adsense. When I launched DMCForums, I didn't put Adsense right away, because there wasn't enough traffic.

Its a lot easier if you have Analytics for the board.

Well, sometimes Google Adsense also accepts a site that was created just a week ago, as long as there is"enough" content. Getting approved for blogs was comparatively easier for me.

Its because Blogs are like information sites. Back in 2000 or earlier, each HTML page is like a blog, so Google has a lower threshold for blogs, than forums. With a forum, the main page has all the stats that a Google moderator can see and judge what's "active."

Actually, I like that judgement, because it would weed out these entitled people out of thinking; "Oh, it must be easy to make a website by just opening a forum, and be done with it, and make money..." Uh, no it isn't, kid... chill out. It takes work.
