Money Making

If you are trying to make money online, you'd be best off applying for Adsense IMO... though you don't get paid until $100 is in your account.

I make hardly any cash (if any) on the Internet, I have a lovely full time job thanks 😀

You can open an online store and sell something unique like custom designed T-shirt, or clothing, web hosting, advertising, etc.

OS-Commerce is a good Online store software.

AdSense shouldn't be considered as a main revenue stream unless you apply it to a site that gets many hundreds of unique visits daily. If you're not getting a substantial amount of traffic, you'll struggle to make even $0.02 a day on AdSense, if that.

Personally, I've made over £600 online $976 creating fully unique and customised Websites and phpBB designs for individuals and small businesses. If you're going to make serious money online you'll need to learn how to do something that not that many other people can do well.

Things such as paid posting aren't particularly good money makers. Not only is it cheap (around $0.05 per post) but almost anyone can do it.

Amen to that! That's the "trick" to making money online and off. Find a people passionate about something and give 'em what they want.

You could try selling affiliate products to a rabid market online. People have been able to make a living online doing that. Of course you'll need to invest some time learning how to do it right before diving right in and making money.

It's tough to be freelance in my opinion because there are so many new things that consumers want and that you need to have knowledge of. I mean jquery/prototype, cakephp/smarty, etc are great resources, but the rest you gotta do on your own.

I know from personal experience that arcade sites are VERY prosperous if you have it SEO. Google's adsense blends very well with games on your site and viewers are bound to click.
It's just getting to that point that can be difficult.

But I love webdev as a hobby. The money is a bonus 🙂

If you are good in designing, coding or scamming (lol). You should try DigitalPoint.

I know taking surveys is a decent way to make cash online.

Or using ebay 🙂.

If you have a very active website with a lot of visitors you can also make money with affiliate links like http://www.1and1affiliate.com/ , https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/ , and selling advertising on your website. I made $60 selling a textlink for one year on one of my sites.

Mypoints is a good place to take survey, and earn points for buying stuff you already buy like electronics, books, games, etc. I got a $25 Amazon.com gift card for exchanging 3750 points.
