We earn money through permanent banners on the forum and through the bidvertiser ads. The banners is £5 a month ($10) and through the ads it varies as sometimes we go a few days with out any clicks and sometimes we get 1 or more clicks a day for a week or more and each click is completely different but on average it is $0.74 although as time goes by the value of each click goes up as more higher paid ads get shown. To see the stats for this site and the no of click click the "advertise here" link on the ads and it will show you.

I opened it for fun and not to make money... We didn't add any ads to our forum until December. This forum has been around since last april and we moved to advanced hosting last June so we could have added ads back then but we left it aslong as we could before adding some to cover the costs as this forum costs money to keep running. It is not our intention to make money. All the money made goes towards this site (hosting and future forum software costs -😉- ) and it is a way to make money to cover these costs with out me and efc paying loads of our own money or asking our members for donations. This means that this site can still exist with limited costs to me and efc.
It is a waste of time trying to make money out of ads as for all the effort you put into to get a site made and ads on it and get some traffic to it to get some clicks the return is very low and pointless and will probably cost you more then you would get back.

I'm 17 too... set up a paypal account and sign up at a add site like bidvertiser and add the code to your forum and the money will be paid to your paypal account.

It is as easy as this...
1) Sign up for a paypal account here - http://www.paypal.co.uk/uk
2) If you have a bank account you can add you bank details there so it can be transferred into you bank account. If not it will still go to your paypal account and you can keep it until you do have one.
3)Sign up for a ad company like bidvertiser who pays directly to your paypal and give them your paypal email address and you are done.

Unless you offer some kind of paid service, the only way to make money off of your forum is via advertising. To do this well you need to make best use of your pageviews.
Sign up for a number of advertising agencies - I use (and reccomend) Google Adsense, Adbrite and Yahoo! Publisher Beta (if you meet the conditions)
I also reccomend your own ad server to manage your ads from - such as http://ads.spyka.co.uk
This will allow you to get the most out of the visits you get. You can easily stop an ad from running by the click of a button accross your entire network. This is VERY useful if the advertising server is down for work, instead of wasting the pageviews you can remove the ad from showing and show another from one of your other advertisers.
Once your site grows you can then start to add your own adverts directly from advertisers

can some one help this is really really urgent i got this code from bidvertiser but how do i put it properly using proper tags
