More Than Half of Americans Can't Read Above a 5th Grade Level

Honestly I blame the public school system for this issue. But it's also difficult to help those who remain silent. I know I would have been better at math if I spoke up but I'm stubborn and hated asking for help, I wish I pushed myself to ask though. It makes me wonder if these adults are also stubborn and refuse to help themselves.

Yeah, possibly pride is a problem.

Of course, others don't want to learn certain things. Maybe they don't care or they suspect it's too difficult.
 
I think it's important to use clear and simple language so more people can understand the content. Making information easier to read helps reach a wider audience.
