Of everything you own, what has been your single most expensive purchase (not something you are paying back over time)?

Mine would probably be my MacBook Pro, it cost me over £1000 😛

Hmm, my laptop, just a bit over 1,000. 😛 Pretty expensive, I had to save up for a long time for it. But it's awesome now, touch screen, windows 8, 14 inch. 🙂 Really beautiful. 😀

i also had to save for mine. I'm currently saving up for a TV which will double as a large display monitor, going to cost me about £700.

Haha nice, trust me, those kinds of things are always worth saving up for! 🙂

I hope so lol! Do you have one? I hate making expensive purchases cause it takes so long to save for the next one. Lol

My desktop setup, i spent about $1,600 or so.

Of all the expensive purchases you have made in your life, what has been your worst/biggest regret?

Mine - Blackberry Playbook

Not sure to be honest, haven't had one yet i suppose.

Now that is a sensible purchase 🙂 do you think the car will hold onto its value when it comes to re-sale?

naw I probably won't be able to re-sell it when I need a new car..it's a pretty crappy car now, so many problems with it lol but it still works so that's a plus.

The most expensive single thing I've paid for was my car insurance , it was $1700 🙁 but my biggest purchase was earlier this month when I bought plane tickets, travel insurance, hotels and travel money all in one cart sort of deal. It was just a bit over $5000

Joys of being poor and barely being able to afford to live a life of somewhat luxury. although I have made sure to pay my credit card (I only use to gain my credit score as I'm young so need to before I can get a loan) and don't owe anything to any bank)

My PC, only because I have built it from scratch, and made sure to throw in the best upgrades I can. I still have much more to do, but I believe it is worth about $1000 at the moment.

I'd have to say that it's probably my car. I bought it used and paid it off right when I got it.

My comment is semi off topic, but this is one of the best fiscal moves you can make, period. Never buy a new car, because it's value tanks at least half as soon as you drive it off the lot. Want to save some money in the long run? Buy a used car and pay it off in cash so you don't have to worry about payments that will rack your bank account. 🙂

Fiscal advice from Twisted Fairytale!

(yes, I know I'm a little crazy in the head...)

My largest purchase was probably my custom built computer, although it still cost me less than it would have if I had bought a proprietary machine or a... Mac.
