It is possible for a newbie who only make forums "for the money" have a higher failure rate compared to someone who love sharing their knowledge online with a few ads on their site since people who only make websites for the money can get bored easily when their website is not making money, they are too cheap to pay for advertising, better web hosting & domain name, or professional help.

Newbie Webmaster who make website for only earning cash makes their website hard to read since it is pack full of ads which can also make the site load slower on slower computers and internet connection.

Newbies who care about his content will probably spend more time writing quality content, improve the community, do post exchanges, willing to learn how to make their forum better looking or hire help. Plus, they probably spend more time on promoting their website because they love getting responses from members and visitors on how their forum help them out in their daily life. Newbies who care about their community probably make their forum's ads and affiliate links embeded more cleanly on their forum, so it is not distracting.

Plus, visitors are more likely to buy from a forums affiliate links if the content like long term review about the affiliate's product is very good vs. someone who just post random affiliate links all over their forum and expect people to click on them and buy from Amazon Associate links.

Here comes another one of Lisa's video's. It's about the "desperate for money theme":

Lisa has a video for everything. WOW

Good video. I agree with Lisa putting a time frame on making money on a website could be one of the major factors for not making money since it might make me not be motivated to make money if I make almost no money in the first month and it is best to pick a niche which you are passionate about.

Newbies who just want the money, that don't know what they're doing, will fail.

People who just want the money, but know what they're doing, don't necessarily fail.

People (willing to spend $$) and just want to make money from a website hire can hire cheap labor from India, Malaysia and the Philippines to design, write content, and promote their websites for a few hundred US Dollars or less a month depending on the economy in those countries since a lot of Asian countries money is very low compared to US Dollar.

But, if you know nothing about quality content, traffic, and web design, there are very good odds the people you are hiring might submit poorly written content, do poorly on your promotional campaigns, and design poorly made websites if they are unethical or you can't tell them what you expect from them for a certain amount of money.

Plus, many poor IT workers are desperate for money in many cases when the economy is bad and don't ask for a lot of money compared to US companies.

The owner just pays them off for work they did, and uses the traffic his cheap worker created for them to make money with adsense, selling products like E-books, and Affiliate marketing.

I agree with Mr. Green. Well thought out plans should get anyone a better return rate then someone who doesn't plan and acts spontaneously.
