Typically it seems on a lot of sites I have visited, the most busy and successful topics are generic questions.

Examples:

"What are you doing today?"
"What's the weather like where you live?"

The 2nd most successful topics which I have noticed on most sites... Are normally site related.

Examples:

"X user Birthday is today"
"X user STFU"

But outside the box, what have been your most successful topics been?
