Using Xenforo 2.2 and Ozzy's Movie and TV Show apps. Theme is from Xenfocus.com Uniform Dark. There are a lot of CSS changes made in the extra.less file to tweak and enhance various sections. The front page is a Xenforo page with a responsive html framework and external CSS files and images. When entering a category via the homepage or navigation menu, the entries are shown based on their ratings - thanks to Ozzy's save filter app you can adjust this to your own preferences.

Movies and TV Shows play a big part in everyone's life as a means of entertainment, so the opportunity to add and talk about your favourites is a great ice breaker in terms of meeting new people and making new friends through a shared interest.

Feel free to visit, critique and comment - add your own favourites and take part in discussions in the forum sections. More features will be added soon, including a votable top 20 movies and TV listing. Enjoy 🙂

I have heard of your site before. I can't put my mind to it. Were you always running Xenforo before or did you restarted the site?

SIte name feels familiar. ALso good luck

Yeah it was originally on IPS but I moved back to XF as it is a superior platform to work with and I could achieve the look I wanted in more precise detail; such is how versatile XF is once you get under the hood as it were lol. The front page is just a Page node with some external CSS to get the responsive framework married to the HTML. I'm busy putting another site together on the XF platform for those who like rock music, should be up and running in about a week, give or take 🙂

Here's a mock up of the front page for rockmachine.org - the three bottom boxes are just placeholders for the three categories that will be available. I want to keep the usage as simple as possible and this front page will link directly to the three main categories.

The actual layout and colors may change so that it all fits in with the theme.

I thought you were on IPB, I See your posts around IPB support forums. AT least by moving over, you save money regards the IPB renewable liceance fee.

I see you started from scratch again.

Yes, and the best thing I did - it's amazing what it takes to realise a wakeup call; but I am so happy now, with a better system, great addon developers and a really friendly community that pulls together to help each other; it makes it so much more affable when appreciation is shown for the help given - I love it and hope to take things further in the future. The Rock Music site is shaping up nicely so it won't be long before launch day 🙂

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you and everyone on here making me feel welcome and for a great site that is doing a lot of good; thank you.
