I am not sure if we can really believe movie reviews because I come across a lot of producers who pay critics to review a movie positively. After realizing this fact, I stopped reading reviews and deciding which movie I would like to watch. I just go and watch those movies I think are good or those which I really want to watch.
Do anyone of you depend on movie reviews to decide which film to watch and not watch?
I read the basic of what the film is about then I watch it and if you don't like it then bad luck LOL but I never watch one that I did not like. I don't read the full reviews since it's reviewed by that one guy.
Each reviews on that same movie are always different
Yes, I read about that topic too, and its all a lie. Just word of mouth, that almost never fails. I think we could make here a thread just for that. 🙂 The movie title and a very short description about it. Who want to start that thread? I mean, if it doesn't exist already, if so, point me to the thread.
Its vary rare that I depend on reviews to watch movies. I believe that every person has their own choice and liking and you might like a movie which has reviewed as very bad by mass of people.
I really don't pay much attention to any movie, television, gaming, etc reviews because as you mentioned, they're often paid to write favourably, or the person may hold a grudge against a certain company and will trash a really good piece of media simply for that reason and it alone.
