Can anybody here tell me how to move hosts, because my host is very slow and I want a different one. I can get back up.

Are you currently on a free forum host (like freeforums.org) or a webhost like 000webhost.com?

Download all files and databases. Upload all files and databases to new host. Update paths in settings file.

I can give you better details if I had some information (forum/cms software).

Don't go with 000webhost. I had problems with them when it came to MySQL. I complained and they went unresolved...

I know they gave me little space. Like not even a mybb file fit.

You'll be lucky to find a free host with a fast server, so don't expect to get the speeds of YouTube, Google, DP, or even FP for that matter on a free host..

yeah and the plans are great just what I need its just the server.

I'm just letting you know (even though I know your looking for free), just last night I purchased the hawkhost hosting, and at the lowest plan for one year with the combination of a .net domain, It cost me less than $50. Now of course you have to have that kind of money, but one way to be able to make the charge and delay payments is have a paypal account and apply for paypal buyer credit (credit card). If approved, you'll get a $300 minimum limit, which is sufficient to pay for the hosting. But I will let you know I think the APR (interest rate) on the card is 21.9%, but since it's only $50, and the minimum payment is $10, the $50 gets payed off within a year. Plus this card does report to the agencys so it helps establish a good credit rating.

I'm just letting you know what I did and how I obtained the hosting. I've still got to pay but at least it's a pay over time and not an immediate payment.

Just throwing it out there. (It's legal. Not lying). However, don't know if the Buyer Credit Card is available outside the USA though...

Best of luck,
Andy...
