Who misses the old msn messenger?

Saw a Facebook video of sounds 90 and 00 kids should know. MSN messenger was on there and it brought back so many memories.

It was Windows Live Messenger by the time I started using it, but I certainly miss it. They forced us to move to Skype and it was never the same.

To be honest, I don't miss it... sure, it was good to keep in touch with people from school but I had some bad memories with it. Also, the dreadful-looking display names people had also...

Skype was terrible and still is, I never get on m Skype.

Usernames was just part of it. It was better then AIM and YIM.

I used MSN messenger almost as much as I used Yahoo messenger, which was quite a bit. I used it whenever one of my friends would come over and hang out. We'd join a teen chat room, then have people talk to us on MSN Messenger lol.

Aw man, MSN is a throwback! I remember I used to stay up for hours talking to a friend who lived in Europe on it and posting on a forum to RP with the characters we created. Probably one of the most memorable things from the first site I'd joined. I continued using it for a while when it moved to Skype, but I ended up dropping it completely when everyone I really talked to at the time moved to Discord and I had no reason to continue keeping it.

I miss the good old days when MSN Messenger, MSN Chat, and MSN Groups were around. I used to run bots in chat to keep them open and protected. I had active groups and a lot of people on Messenger.

Those were some good old days!

I started out using WebTV as my first internet-powered device (dialup of course) and found the MSN suite through it. That eventually became MsnTV.

I miss all the old messenger apps. My fav was MSN messenger at the time. Close second was ICQ.

ICQ and AOL messenger were more popular so those might have been what you used.

YES, I used ICQ all the time! I was in a fantasy basketball league and had a great time even though I had no idea what I was doing.

My favorite part of it was when I nudged people especially if they had their sound on loud. Not so fun when it happened to me though 😛
