First Impressions & Appearance
The background feels weird to me. It would be a lot better if that background covered the whole site and didn't just drop off at the top left and go black. It also makes your index seem off. It looks like the index isn't in the middle of the page and just feels weird visiting the forum. I'd suggest changing the background to something covering the whole background or fix the existing one you have to go all the way across.
However the theme you have is very nice and if I remember it is custom as well. I love what you have done with some of the boxes and also the announcements and affiliates and such. It all flows very nicely and makes for a very good theme. The ranks also fit well with the background. Oh and the forum icons make it that much better. I really love the disc with the music. Really nice touch to bring up the point of your forum.

Site Layout
The site is very well layed out. I especially love the affiliates. They are in the best spot I'd think on your whole index. I just need to compliment on how well all the forums have been placed. The Music Junkies Exclusive is one of the neatest things about your forum and is one of the most important. :yes:
Musicians Corner however, feels out of place. Like it was thrown in their under the main subject. I know you cover off topic too but it is hard to have that there. How about remove the whole category, and place one "Musicians Corner" forum in the Off Topic Category. That would make the index smaller and keep the discussion together.

Statistics and Activity
I know MJ has had a hard time getting back on its feet with a new owner, so I won't be too critical. There should be a huge Music Junkies revamp. Something that will catch everyone's attention. You have a great forum here, people just need to hear about it! So start a contest again and get things rolling. You'll be back to your normal amount of activity in no time for sure.

Staff Moderation
Keeping your tech guy as a moderator was a good choice in my opinion. A lot of forums tend to make one "Tech Support" usergroup for one person and it doesn't really directly effect the community.. and global mod gives good testing abilities.
Activity has been slow so the mods haven't had too much trouble but keep the site advertising forum clean and keeps the whole forum away from spam. I know many dead forums end up being a haven for spam bots and cheap viagra advertisements. Keeping it along and clean is a huge "up" in my opinion.

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism
I really have nothing to say on your spelling and grammar. It looks to be impeckable on the whole forum. All of the forums are very detailed and interesting. However I noticed a lot of "Do you like..?" "Are you a fan of..." type descriptions. Freshen it up a bit. "Disco Freak?? Get your groove on in here!" That will help liven some things up
