Do any of you have some musical talent? A certain instrument? Perhaps you were in choir or band for a few years? Lets hear about your own musical talents!

Is it a musical talent if my voice can smash windows?

I was the best person in my school at the drums. I am also good at the guitar.

I play guitar and saxophone. I haven't played the saxophone in 4 years, but I remember all the notes and finger positions.

I do also sing, not real well, but enough to get by. I love music. 🙂

I can sing and I can play the drums and piano. 😛

I've been told to be quiet before while singing in public. 😛 My singing is awful, to say the least. I can't play an instrument or anything either.

Piano for me 🙂 And yep, choirs always good apart from choir politics which just ruin the fun element of it for me.

I played a Trombone when I was in school, but I long lost that ability, so I don't have much musical abilites. If I try and sing, windows will break and ear drums will bust.

Not much here. XD I did do chorus in high school.

Randomly tried a few instruments in grade school.

Some years back I was trying keyboard. Stopped, but would like to try again someday. And was trying to learn the native american flute. Which I need to get back to again too.

I'm not very musically talented, but I use to play the violin and was in chorus during middle school. After that short stint to try it out I haven't done anything musical since. I wanted to try it out but it just wasn't for me. I like listening to music though.

Can you post a video with you singing. You may hide yourself if you are shy or want to keep it private, but I think may "bathroom singers", as I call them, are actually pretty good.

I come from a piano playing family. What can you play? Can you read music? Are you self taught by ear? Do you still play?,,if not why not? Was it exhausting playing the same thing over and over? How are your improvisational skills? Was your instructor a complete idiot that made you upset each week with his belittle toned voice of his/her and getting mad tapping his/her little pointer stick on the piano ... tap-tap-tap? Did you ever try synths? MIDI? Was handling a full keyboard difficult as compared to a short board?

I know how to play the piano and a little bit of flute. I can also sing well and was in a choir way back then.

I ear play recent music and I can read music as I was in concert band and marching band for four years. 😛

I don't play anymore because I don't have keyboard/piano access anymore and I taught myself basically. I started off on the bells since I played percussion in the band- marched the bass drum, and played bells, xylophone, and the snare in concert band Bells are just a smaller version of a piano, so I just remembered which note on the piano was which and it was easy from there.

You have talent so why don't you develop it? Your parents should be throwing musical gear at you and start putting yourself on the web/youtube, and the underground sites if you find a few songs to twist them up to accompany your sound. Even if its for fun.

Taking something from Nine Inch Nails first CD and slowing it down with a bass hook loop and some raw guitar. "Head Like a Hole" or something like that. Take something and get drastic with it. Thats what is getting new artists noticed on the web. That Joss Stone slow bluesy sound may be your thing.

Esty was 15-16 a few years ago when she was releasing her music on the free underground sites with Tyga, now look at where they are at. Pretty large on the underground scene. Punch them up on YouTube. They are all over the place especially Tyga.

Be careful when you follow the youtube links because underground hip hop can be some very addicting stuff for all ages and you wont be able to turn your net connection off.

Just some encouraging words to you.

I am a student in Musical Academy
Main instrument is french horn..Been playing it for 8 years now..I know to play piano, guitar, trumpet, love to produce and my singing doesn't suck at all. I am pleased for experience I gained trough past few years.
My dream is to play in big orchestras.
