My 60GB PS3 has gotten the YLOD (Yellow Light of Death)

It's not rings, the power light flashes yellow.

The fix is very easy. You just need to re apply thermal paste on the gfx card and cpu.

For those who are wondering, I purchased a Slim model and it was a great investment. The performance is phenomenal. Also, I used to own a 360, but I sold it years ago, and I am not the PC gaming type. 🙂
