The full title of the movie is Hachi: A Dog's Tale which is a true story of the dog found by a man in the train station. Richard Gere plays the role of Parker Wilson, a college professor who adopted the Akita dog. This movie shows the genuine bonding of man and dog. Hachi would be in the train station to wait for the arrival of Professor Wilson. And nearing the end of the story, the professor suffers a brain injury and dies. The dog remained in the train station for years until it died of old age.

The movie is based on the book Hachiko, a true story. There is a statue of the dog in Tokyo which I am hoping to see next year.
