How did you like The Overall Appearance of the Forum?
I would rate the overall appearance of the entire board somewhere between unsatisfactory and average. I have definitely seen worse looking forums, but I have also seen forums that look much, much better. I'm going to gloss over a few things that irk me and keep you from looking better. I'd be happy to answer additional questions about my statements if you have any, as well. First, your background image does not take up the whole background on my screen. I know I helped you put the image there, but you may want to look into making a bigger size. Your best bet would be to plan on accommodating 1680x1050 monitors, and on the one I have, there is about two inches of white space on each side of your background image. A minor slip, but one to look at!
In addition, your index seems to be using two different themes. I know I've done another review on FTON and you mentioned that this can't be fixed, but I'm pretty sure there is a way you can work out the code or what not. I would suggest talking to someone who may have an idea on how to get your two themes the same. Those are just two quick ideas on ways to improve the appearance. Like I said, I would rank your Overall Appearance between Unsatisfactory and Average. Keep on working on it, and it'll look great in no time!
How did you like the recent activity?
Well, judging by the "Last Post" sections on your index, you seem to have average activity on half of your board and unstaisfactory activity on the other half. What I mean is: your off-topic boards have a few posts a day, but your "FTON Heart" category and "Nadia & Sam Zone" severely lack in activity expected of an active board. One board doesn't even have a post since January 10th. I know these may be inactive boards, but you may want to find a way to promote them a little more than the Off-Topic areas. Other than that, the activity for your board is average for the subject matter; just work on those areas lacking!
Do you think that forum will be better with these changes (Theme,icons, header...) ?
I think that you have much room to improve, and by adding that background image, getting a new header, and putting in your custom icons, you're making some awesome steps to making your forum even better. It's really hard to make changes that hurt your forum, so I encourage more changes like the ones you have been doing so far. I hope that I gave you some good ideas in the first section to continue with the changes.
