I've been getting a couple of feedback from members saying that it is way too bright and distracting and it hurts their eyes. I don't know though, it looks fine for me.
What do you guys think? Is it too bright? Or are you guys just not a fan of orange?
I think it's quite boring and dull. I think having something that matches the advertisement banners and graphics would suit because they look really good and the style itself is just a mixture of dark oranges and browns and not really attractive. In certain parts you can clearly see pixels around the edges of some elements. If anything, use a brighter colour but not too bright as to hurt the users eyes. The colours in your signature banner look fine.
I'm one of those who said it's too bright. I can't look at it for more than 5 seconds. Wanted to join it, but it would kill my eyes. Maybe tone down the yellow. Have some 'neutral' hues in place (some light grey for instance) and use yellow/orange just as a highlight (similar to what I am doing on my forums for instance) - use the 'highlight' for small elements, just to give your theme some spark, but use lots of whites and light greys
