I got a new laptop, it is really awesome. Its a Sony type of computer. It has Windows 7. It is MUCH faster than my old desktop. It can run many games and applications. It has 4gb of ram. It is really fun to use, all the way from the reboot to the shut-down.
 
I've got a Sony laptop as well.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with it, except the trackpad and mouse buttons stopped working for no reason at all, so I'm going to have to send it in. I have an external Bluetooth mouse, but its connection sometimes gets f'd up (especially when the batteries die), leaving me helpless.

What model do you have?
 
VAIO VPCEE3WFX is the model of my laptop. Will they return it when it was fixed or do you have to buy a new laptop? Which Windows do you have? Mine has a problem, too. Due to the awesome keys, they are slow on the computer. I type fast but it is slow when I do backspace, also.
 
I've got one of their extended warranty plans, so they'll replace (or maybe just fix) my laptop and send it back to me free. Well, I'll have to pay shipping/handling I bet.

I've got Windows 7 (just got the laptop earlier this year). The keys have always worked fine for me, I actually love the island style keyboard. The touchpad has always been a bit wacky, especially when I had the multitouch features turned on. My dad also has a Sony and has had similar issues. Now, however, it just doesn't work at all.
 
I have the island keyboard,too. I have the life-time warranty. I also have windows 7. I got my laptop for christmas.I have never had that touchpad problem,though.
 
i wish i had a new computer, mine take like a hour to boot, not because its slow, 90% of the boot up ends up with a blue screen, so i have to keep rebooting until it finally loads... but onces it is done it works like a charm (until the random blue screen about 3 times a day happens)

Mine only takes a couple minutes to reboot.I have something really annoying happen, too. It has this screen it didn't have before, it is normal yet annoying. A Sony Viao was my first ever laptop and loved it. I wish I would have gotten a new laptop, but the one I have currently is working well. I would like to get Windows 7 at some point though.
 
Mine is Sony Vaio, too. Well, that is of course a good thing because my laptop is fast, and runs very many games/applications well. I currently have windows 7. What is your Operating System for your laptop, then?
 
I have an Acer Netbook, and I LOVE it. It does nearly everything I want it to, and its the size to where it goes, everywhere I go. I simply love my laptop/netbook.

Windows 7 Home Professional. Yes the Alienware Laptop is pretty cool. Its amazing for having an 11 inch screen.

I'm thinking about purchasing an Acer Aspire as well with a quad-core Phenom chip and dedicated graphics. I've heard good things about the model I'm considering.

Nice! Is it good for games? Do you play anything on it?
 
I play a lot of online games like COD. Gaia Online's towns and other interactive games. I stay on Sims 3 :]
 
Does it run CoD well? What about Sims 3? Sorry I'm asking a lot of questions. xD It's just that I'll be playing games around that level, and I want to know how it runs. xD
