My List of The Top Worst & Best FreeForum Hosts

http://www.forumotion.com - The worst as free forum hosting goes. Cant stand a forum that uses them. Thier version of phpBB2 is hideous, looks like they stuffed a whole lot of worthless nothing into their modified version, just makes it even more slow, laggy, ugly. If you are using them I suggest you move.

http://www.freeforums.org - Most people used them atleast once, I know alot of fine webmasters who first started off using them, and I was one of them.. which was back in 07. They used to be good back then. They will fill up your forum with worthless crap like a whole lot of advertisements. They restrict alot of permissions from the admins so you can never get full control of your forum. They charge a whole lot to remove advertisements, with that money you can buy quality paid hosting and host your own forum with no limits. Their support is much better than forumotion's.

I would never use any of those, but if I had to choose between them it would be http://www.freeforums.org

Anyways if you would like to see some good free forum hosts you can try the ones below.
http://www.prophpbb.com - They have a great support team, and are very reliable. The best phpbb3 host around. I used them back in 08 after moving from freeforums.org. Never had any issues with them.
http://www.zetaboards.com - They dont give you a subdomain which sucks, but they still are okay, you get to customize your forum however you want. They have some really nice themes and plugins available.

Anyways if you have moved on from free forum hosting, and free hosting itself then you have nothing to worry about. This is to help the new webmasters out there make a right choice in what free forum hosting they use. All the best, hope everyone finds this useful.

When Forumotion was built they assumed they had brains. Later in the creation of the software their brains got lost in a glitch. They've lost their brain since.

I hate them for their horrible support. 😳 Plus my mother could build better software and she doesn't even know how to do it.

I'm not a fan of Forumotion either, though I would say the worst is Yuku. I used them back when they were EzBoard (which was bad enough), but they somehow managed to make it worse.

I would say that Jcink and Invisionfree are pretty reliable hosts as well. I believe you can create backups on Jcink and Invisionfree has hundreds of themes/mods available.

This isn't the first time somebody has slandered Forumotion, not to mention it is pretty unlikely that one forum comment will make a big difference. Also, if they attempted to sue Kaiser, they would need probably need to breach a few privacy laws to get his personal details.

I have a question about prophpbb. Well, it been a long time I've used prophpbb, but last time I checked, there are green links ads (don't know what they're called) and I definitely didn't like that.... unless they change that.....

ForuMotion is the crappiest forum host ever. I swear, like Fluffy said, I ask a question, 2 months went by... never got an answer.... so I forced myself to PM the support team, all they say was "be patient" that really pissed me off. But their themes are amazing,... not 😛

FreeForums.org was okay until they started the whole limited features. Their style theme are horrible. They probably haven't got my request yet, and it been years I've sent it. FreeForums.org---- YOU STINK!!!!

I think the best one is Foroomy!! 😀

Yeah Invisionfree and Zetaboards are owned by the same company. The only issue I ever had with Jcink is the cluttered acp.

I dont think im the only one here that thinks forumotion is crap, As for lack of reasoning... im sure I dont need to explain why forumotion is crap, its pretty self explanatory why they are the worst. And no one can sue me over something this small, and this is just my opinion on the host. They will have critics, some people will like them, and some wont. Thats how life goes.
