So looking to replace my laptop for something a bit more portable I bought myself the Acer Aspire One 725. Once I sell my old laptop I will be doing some upgrades first a ssd then 4gb ram. Win 8 takes a bit of getting used to though.

I always thought of buying a Netbook, but I rarely use my laptop away from home, so my current laptop is fine for now.
A SSD sounds pretty nice since they are faster then regular laptop hard drives which usually spin at 5700 RPM instead of 7200 -10 000 RPM like desktop hard drives.
If you have a USB flash drive or SD card, you can use it for Windows Readyboost which speeds up Windows

I use Classic Shell which I downloaded for free from http://classicshell.net/ to bring back the Classic Startbutton, and StartMenu in Windows, and set Windows 8 to start to the desktop when Windows 8 log in to my user account.
