It looks like a mix between a 1990s static web page and a parked domain site. I'd focus more on making it a bit more modern and unique.
The Background image loads slower than the rest website, maybe try a better optimized picture?
Definitely work th the spaces, i mean you cant have the video attached to the left and right border while the test above is more center aligned and leaves white spaces.
Defintely put a logo or something, though i like the header you have though of as a black box on the upper left.
The menu is not that good, lots of space between every link and way too simple.
And i don't undertand at all the horizontal gray-dark area above the "logo" area.
A suggestion is ti use and easy to customize CMS like Wolf CMS that will give you dynamic posting abilities and advanced administration while hving a reliable theme to easily optimize in your need and optimize it to your needs.
