So, there are lots of names numerous people might know/remember me by. QJ. Quacker Jack. Jack. Sparty. Jackattack. Jackattack923. But honestly, I hate every single one of these names. In a way. Why? Because I'm starting a path towards a more professional looking career, and want to have a universal name. One that I can use to give myself a professional look. One I can easily say. One others can easily recognize me by. One that doesn't sound retarded.

But, I'm not good at names.......

That being said, a friend of mine came up with (imo) a great professional name - "Jaqt" (pronounced the way it is spelled). It's a play on words (or in my case letters) of my name Jack, and "jacked". He recommended it because I could say that when I go through design I could just use a motto like "I jaqt it!".

Thoughts on the new name idea?

The only way to have a professional name is to use your actual name. Jaqt might be a good nickname for a high school football player but it doesn't work on a professional level.

or, you could use a pseudonym, for example:

Robert popper becomes robin cooper, just an idea 😛

I like Jack/Quacker Jack. You could always be Good Bieber, or something....

It would have to be probably your real name like someone said above 😛

Okay, QJ, I'm just looking out for you. I just read the entire post over and I can't let you go around saying, "I Jaqt it". You'd be advertising to the wrong kind of clients -.-

Anyways, here's my advice, disregard my firs post. Your young, and this is the Internet, don't try to be all serious and professional. There will be times for that later in life, now, you should enjoy the Internet and just have fun.

So, come up with a fun name you like...

Lol. "I jaqt it!" (or "I jacked it!") just sounds wrong to me.

As for the name itself, it doesnt sound that professional to me. Professional would be your 1st and last name.

LOL.

But in more seriousness, not exactly quite so. You see, the reason why I'm trying to become more professional is because I'm really getting interested in Web Design. Enough that I'd like to pursue my interests and create a design service. But to be considered decent, I need a pretty good portfolio of stuff. That's means I'll be making a dA (deviantArt). And I need an alias that people can easily recognize me by. 😉

Oh, and QJ isn't professional. Quacker is what makes it crap. I mean, I like the QJ look I got, but Quacker is what bothers me. My name just can be manipulated easily without sounding..... homo. I want to keep something around my name, but I dunno. I need something that is cool sounding and natural, yet unique and professional.

I like "Jaqt" personally, but it just looks weird. And I dunno if I like weird.

I didnt know that sounds had sexual preferences.

QJ, bud, a name is a name, some of the best graphics designers go by stupid names. It's how well you do the graphics design, not what your known as.

If you have a professional sounding name and crap skills, no one will come use your service. But, if your awesome at graphics, people will come to you no matter what your online alias is.
