My recording?

Ok, I have the Dell Inspirion 15 ( I am pretty sure everyone knows that now). And my sound recorder is not working, when I listen to it in the drivers I get an obnoxious noise, and it does not record any sound, just nothing.

Please help

What kind of sound recorder? A mic or USB intrumental recorder? If you are a windows user, go to CONTROL PANEL and make sure the SOUND properties are correct. Both input and output. If you have the output set as the same as your input, things are bound to not sound right. (It's like trying to play sound through your mic, which wont work)

Nope, still not working.

I went into the sound settings. It looks as if my recording driver thing is picking up sounds (making noise is picked up on the green bar). Mic line in is defualt, Mic array is for recording and Rec. Playback is unavailable. Correct? Or is something worng?

Try uninstalling your audio drivers, then reinstalling them here

Be sure to back up your computer before uninstalling, to prevent future issues.

I can't find the driver download for my laptop (Inspiron 15) and it isn't on the resource CD.
