Visuals
When I first visited The Book Nook I was impressed with the rainbow color side bar and the book like feel the home page had. This makes your site pop out amongst the numerous other sites with the same focus. The sub forums were well placed and made navigation amongst them easy. The banner and links have good looking text and flow together to make the site look better as a whole.
Statistics
Your site has a fairly moderate amount of activity. Your forums has a grand total of 1,219 posts and 60 members. This is a decent amount of activity for a 4 month old site. A record of 42 users online at once is an impressive feat and this shows that your site is a popular one.
Weaknesses:
Layout
Your layout is a bit lacking to me. There is a large amount of blank, black background on the right for every page. You could also enlarge the text on your site so it becomes easier to read. Some things such as the links could be placed better or just centered on the page.
Final Remarks:
Overall your site looks nice and has a cool, sleek design to it, but the layout could be improved to make it look even better.
