Appearance and Style - (Out of 20)

When a potential user visits your blog, you want them to have excellent first impressions. I honestly didn't have too good first impressions, but that's not a problem, the whole point of our blog review service is too improve your blog by simply providing our feedback, and overall, put your blog on the track to becoming a successful blog. Now, what is a successful blog? That's your opinion, on what you consider a blog to have to accomplish to be considered successful. Nevertheless, whatever your goal is with your blog, I will try my best to help you reach that goal with this review and hopefully future reviews. Alright, let's get to it. First off, your logo is just text, which I can assume is the way it is set up on the WordPress theme. I really recommend making your own logo instead of using the default text for that theme. Trust me, you can do so much more with a nice image logo instead of text, and it looks professional and just better really. If you want the logo to have the same font, I am sure you could figure out the font. Secondly, I am surprised you don't have a favicon. You should get one, if possible on WordPress. Right now, you just have the default "W," it's irrelevant to your blog, and default. Getting a favicon should be easy, you can make it online, which you can find with a simple Google search. Thirdly, I like the red header image, but it really seems to have poor quality. Fourthly, the footer bar as gray text on it though, with the footer bar being black. This isn't a very good combination; gray and black. Fifthly, I like the theme your blog is using, but it's a bit bland. It's mainly white you see. The theme is sort of boring to look at, I suggest a theme that is colorful, a theme that pops. Overall, your blog has a pretty nice appearance and style, but you could make improvements.

Blog Layout and Categorization - (Out of 20)

Your blog doesn't seem to have a very organized layout. Navigation is difficult. It's hard to find my way through the blog posts. There doesn't seem to be a sense of direction while going through blog posts. You need to work on categorizing your blog posts. You have the "Top Posts & Pages" side table, but that doesn't do any organization besides pointing out the popular blog posts. You should have a side table with a few blog categories, and then have your blog posts organized into the categories. If a blog post doesn't fit in a category, you can have a "Other" category. If a blog post fits in multiple categories, don't worry, WordPress will let you organize blog posts into multiple categories. Personally, I don't like how your blog displays one post full-sized on the homepage, and then three of them are displayed small below it. I think you could have around three full sized blog posts on the main page, and then have pages navigation at the bottom, so readers can quickly navigate through your blog posts. Lastly, your menu pretty much gets the job done. It's all a personal blog really needs. An about page, a contact page, and your blog even has an affiliates page. You pretty much have everything needed. You could have a page on your blog that shows up on the menu that you click on, and then it has all the categories on the page. That might be nice. Overall, your layout is okay but you need to work on categorization. Good luck.

Commenting Activity and Other Interactions - (Out of 20)
Your blog seems to be receiving a few blog comments on a daily basis. It seems to me that if you continue with new blog posts, you'll receive more comments. With that being said, the commenting activity is somewhat average for your blog, but it could still be a better. You seem to be seeing three to five blog comments per blog post, so that's nice and consistent. Your blog seems to be interesting to someone out there, otherwise you wouldn't be receiving so many comments. So, I think we can assume that you are doing pretty well with getting people to comment. Try to get even more people to comment, call your readers to action in your blog post even. For example, you could make a blog post about your favorite fruit, and then call the readers to action to make a comment with what their favorite fruit is. Overall, the commenting activity is about average and there doesn't seem to be any other interactions going on.

Quality and Frequency of Posts - (Out of 20)
There's not much to say here. Your blog posts are of a pretty good quality, they look like they took some type for you to type up. I see a few paragraphs on on each blog post, that's good. They could be longer and have more details, but how they are is pretty nice. I think you should focus on making sure you use good spelling and grammar so the posts are even higher in quality. I see a lack of capitalization and incorrect spelling in a few of your blog posts. You have done a great job with the frequency of posts. Congratulations on that. You have been posting on your blog quite often, that really shows commitment. You may be updating it a little too often though, give your readers sometime to read all those blog posts. Good luck!

Spelling/Grammar - (Out of 20)

I see a few spelling and grammar mistakes. You should proofread and double-check your blog posts. Look for mistakes, you want to have as few spelling and grammar mistakes as possible. With that being said, a couple mistakes here and there is only human, but don't let that be your excuse for having mistakes often. Now, let's get to finding those mistakes. First off, on the "On the subject of Obama vs Bush" blog post, "one of my internet buddy" should be "one of my internet buddies." Secondly, in the "Studying English for very beginners: part 3" blog post, "get your pronouns rights" should be "get your pronouns right." Next, "English" should be capitalized. You don't have it capitalized in the content of your studying English blog posts. Lastly, the period should be inside the "" of "light." Overall, I came across a few mistakes, don't forget to proofread. I wish you the best of luck!

Final Remarks:

Your blog is quite interesting actually... You just really need to figure out something to focus on with your blog. We know it's your personal blog, so that's sort of the genre, but there are personal blogs all over the web. Why should people read your personal blog? I think you should consider zoning in on a few specific things on your blog right now and focus more on it, just so people can understand your blog's purpose better, and more likely relate to your blog.

What was disliked most about the blog:
The blog is maybe a little too personal, it makes the blog less interesting and hard to relate to.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to read my blog?

Maybe being a little less personal, and zoom more in on something that people on the web can relate to. Maybe you could have a big part of your personal blog be about what's going on around the web? Or to keep it personal, what's going on around the web with you, what do you enjoy on the web, etc.

Thanks for the review, CMT! I'll make sure to do what you suggested, I was just trying to get a favicon, actually. (Too hard for me, honestly). Some people complimented me on my theme. Thanks for pointing out my grammar mistakes, I appreciate that! I like free-styled writting, I hate themed. The reason why I have a blog is because I can write about anything I want. The categories are there as a drop-down menu. Maybe you didn't see it. I'm not too good with programming you see, so yeah. I've done what I can within my powers to make it look good. I'm not really a graphist, you see.
