My SaaS project almost finished 🔥

I've recently been working on a new SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) project and I really want to just talk about it because I'm really excited and super close to launching it now so I'd like to see what people think about it.

It's a website analytics platform. So think Google Analytics but obviously less advanced but catered towards telling you the basics of how your site is performing without all the other noise behind it.

Plus, it removes all the unnecessary personal information that analytic services collect. You don't need that data (and if you do this ain't for you). I'm nearly ready with my MVP and would love for people to check it out. Here are some screen shots.

I think for some the lack of personal data collection will be a good selling point. Personally I've been using Matomo for my sites recently, but I'm curious what your software would do better or if with the lack of data collection it would be a viable option.

I do like that it will be light-weight. Hopefully the report generation is fast, that's one thing with Matomo is sometimes the reports can be a little sluggish to generate.

Looks cool and I appreciate your focus on only providing the most vital data about visitors. The only metrics I really care to know for my sites are...

- Pageviews per day/month/year
- Unique visits per day/month/year
- Top pages
- Top keywords
- Top domain referrals
- Time on page
- Nice to have: Traffic by country
- Nice to have: Traffic by browser
- Total # of sales (not really Analytics territory, though)

I know you'll keep us updated and I'd be interested in giving your platform a try when ready!

Thanks all, I'll be going down the route of the important, on-page stats.

So time on a page will be one thing I'll look at, referring websites and also stuff like content security policies, header data and other good stuff. I can't wait to share more in the near future ☺️

This is a fantastic idea, can't wait for it to launch!

Should also maybe make it like a top sites thing as well, or like a directory, so people can not only view other people's sites stats but also get the link to go visit them directly from your site? Just an idea.

I like this idea too! It should be opt-in though if you go that route. 🙂

Thanks all, I like your ideas. I'll definitely look into having a top sites type thing. That sounds good.

I also want to implement some useful webmaster tools as well to really expand the offering. It's nearly finished. I just need to look into some the basic content pages like terms, help etc.
