Whenever I open a program in my computer, it shuts off automatically without notice. Any ideas?

Well my idea and the most general response you'll get is you've got a virus.

What system are you using?

If anything try running your computer in safe mode.

How can he do a virus scan when if you open a program it shuts down the computer? 😛

Have you done any updates to the operating system recently or made any changes around the time the problem started?

I've done a update yesterday actually. I can't do virus scans because it will just turn off during the scan.

I could say the same thing about begin on this forum, a web browser is a program 😉

I can go on the web browser for like a limited of time. I think it's not a virus. I'm thinking me battery isn't working well

Hmm buy a new battery from a toshiba distributer and put it in, they are known to have bad batteries, I have had this laptop for five years and it needed a battery change 9 times.

It could also be overheating.

I know my hp laptop did before i updated the bios.

The later I got a extra cooling unit for it.

Yeah! I also though that is was over heating, but I have the thingy that cools it down...
