My Valentine's Day

On Valentine's Day, I woke up to roses, balloons, candy and Starbucks. Went to get tattoos. Had amazing pasta for lunch. Had some decent Greek food for dinner. Went to the movies and watched Happy Death Day 2 U and was somewhat disappointed by it. Overall, a pretty bomb Valentine's.

To be honest, after someone spilled the beans on who I had a crush on(This happened before the christmas holidays 2018) in my school, I just gave up with love in general. Never bothering with it again(I'm still trying to get this girl out of my mind but it just stays.) The only thing I really do now is write code and play games or read a book. Life sucks for me.

Aww, sorry to read that. Do you go to a big school? Smaller schools are more difficult to deal with when it comes to relationships because there aren't many choices available. Hold your head high!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. School can be rough at that age. I know I had a rather rough time around then. Try not to let it get you down. I'm sure eventually things will get better. Try to stay positive!

Why does it suck? Aren't those things that you like doing? You spent the night doing things that you like to do, instead of forcing yourself to spend the night in a crowded room with a bunch of people you probably don't even talk to. All while dancing, mind you. I'd say you had a pretty decent night.

Thank you. I love those bows, too. Only one had them then the artist was like, "I didn't think of this before, but do you want a bow on the other one, too?", and we both had a "duh" moment. It's a nice touch.

That really sucks. I can say I definitely went through similar stuff when I was in school, especially in middle school. I'm sorry that someone shared who your crush is. That's really not cool. You're way too young to be giving up on love though. You'll meet someone.

Very true, Valentine's Day should be one of the many days to show your SO how much they mean to you! I still get cutesy with it because I can't resist the aesthetic of red/pink/white and hearts, but I try to make gifts by hand instead of buying.

Last year as soon as the shops started selling Valentines things, which can sometimes be a month prior, I went in and bought Joanna (girlfriend) chocolate hearts everyday till the day. Then nothing on the day just to prove a point 😛.

The first year, I made a woven paper pixel heart as a Valentine, which he now has framed and hung in his office. The next year, I wrote down all of the things I loved about him on pink sticky notes, and stuck them on our bathroom mirror in the shape of a heart to find the next morning. The third year was a book about us (I wrote and designed the pages, but paid to have it printed and bound). Last year, I made red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting--truly a labor of love, because it took all afternoon once decorating was said and done. His favorite chocolate-chip cookies was this year!

I like the daily chocolate hearts, until the actual day. That's surprisingly endearing!
