I will do this in list format. It will not be in chronological order. I'll start with general things, then get a bit more specific about additional features as the list continues. I'd like some feedback on whether you think my idea will work, how expensive you think it may be, and anything you would or wouldn't do.
> Technology blog, with a single concentration that gets broader as demand/ability to write grows
> Complimentary YouTube videos: Weekly update (on tech stuff), talk show, tutorials, and other random (non recurring) feature videos.
> Smartphone app for quick tech updates when you're on the go
> Design will be minimal, easy to navigate, with unobtrusive advertisements
> Only way a forum would be implemented is if an already existing one was for sale or if another Administrator wanted to take care of it completely
> For money, there'd be one of the following (or perhaps a variety of): Google Adsense (or something similar), useful affiliate ads, paid placements (like BSA), product endorsements (not cash obviously)
Those are the ideas I'm willing to share at the moment.
The main thing is that it will be a 4 year commitment at the very least, meaning that if it's successful in 4 years, I'll continue you it as a larger business and if it fails I would reevaluate. If it got to a point where the income was similar to a starting job in a company, I'd honestly leave college to continue it.

I truly think being able to financially and mentally commit to this for FOUR years puts me in a position that is above any of the competition on FP (or newer blogs that you may be skeptical of).
