I like it them both but on the second image you may like to try the advice below out.
A few things you should try.
-Adding Gloss(Layers of white on the top half overlapping each other)
-Gradients: It appears that you used a gradient, but try to lower the scale a but, if you are using photoshop. And change the background color to blue and use the gradient with high opacity for a better black background)
-Text Placement: The text is all mushed up. Maybe make the Title a little smaller, add a stroke(border to it) and a gradient over the border. I would have placed the "No-Ads!" text diagonally on a corner. And it may look nice if you used multiple fonts.
