If anyone didn't notice, Mybb put a count down clock on the Community forums for when Mybb 1.6 will be released.

So whats your favorite feature(s) that's in Mybb 1.6?
 
MyBB 1.6 looks like it's adding little things. It's good to see they're supporting all video embedding, ACP login security, but the Plugin Downloader is really impressive though. Lets you search for plugins directly from your ACP and lets you download them.

+1 to this. It is a feature I also liked on smf.
 
The things I like most is that it's adding a ton of new features by default that phpBB requires you to install.

These are a few I like about 1.6
Thread Prefixes
Video Embedding
Select all threads from all pages
Maximum login attempts for ACP
Users online in thread
 
Doesn't this mean all the MODs for 1.4 won't work for 1.6? So everyone will have to make brand new MODs? Just wonderin 🙂
 
No the plugins will work for 1.6 although you will have to deactivate them before upgrading, then you simply activate them again 🙂

Some will, some won't. The ones that won't only require minor changes for them to work.
