As far as I know Since I have tested my 1.6 plugin on it within my localhost Most 1.6 plugins will work the theme looks better then there previous one, As pandaa said who would use a default theme on A live forum.

While this is true, I have only seen 1 or 2 visually appealing MyBB styles. That should say something about the themeing aspect of MyBB.

There is a lot more than 1 or 2. Audentio and Dynaxel themselves have both made more than 1 or 2 appealing themes. The design aspect of MyBB is no different than that of any other software. You use HTML and CSS to add the elements you need, just like nay other software.

This really looks nice.
I agree the visual aspect needs some work and so does the logo, but it's a huge improvement right now.
The default theme is like WOW in my eyes for my first impression compared to the usual default mybb theme.

I personally do not see why you are all worried about the look of the forum. I do not know anyone who would make a site live whilst using the default theme, so why is it a problem? As long as good themes come out for the software, I do not see a problem. It is the core features that really matter to me.
