MyBB mods?

Hey FP!

Alright, I will admit something. I have finally gone to MyBB. With all of my years running paid software(IPB, and XenForo), I find that I don't want to pay to get help. To deal with a heavy piece of software that is clunky to work with and everything else. So, I went ahead and tried MyBB, I mean what could I loose? So, I did, and I love it! However, because I am new to the whole MyBB thing, I need some ideas for some good mods that you may know of!

I started a new general discussion forum, TheNationSpeaks. However, what are some good mods that you guys could recommend? Thanks!

You may regret going to MyBB, fo rme it was a magent for spammers, I spent a lot of time deleting them, and their posts, it doesn't have a decent anti-spam plugin, nor does it have a decent SEO plugin, so you will have to work a lot harder to promote it.

However it does have some good plugins, be wary of those that are out of date though.

Which one you select will depend a lot on what you want to offer members, I suggest you look at the official site, most of other unofficial sites carry the same MODs anyway, there are very few paid MODs out there.

Sure it does, I hardly get any spam bots with the plug-ins I have installed to fight spam:
-Register Time
-Registration Security Question
-Stop Forum Spam
...also I have the "Hidden Captcha" turned on.

And If they manage to get past all that, theres also A option for the newly registered Users group.

Yeah, I did look at some mods to combat spam. However, so far, MyBB is nice compared to what I am used to which is IPB.

Already in place! Very useful indeed! 😀

I can't think of many plugins, not that theres not alot of good ones but mybb comes with alot as standard.
