Hey FP!

As I am new to MyBB, I don't fully know the software inside and out. However, I want to allow members on the forum while I have it offline because I want to get posts on the forum. But, I don't want to move them to the admin group to do so. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!

I looked, but I don't think this is a native feature of MyBB...

There is a mod/plugin for it though... So if you install this plugin then groups should be allowed to access the forum even when offline.

Then just go to the board offline/online section and it'll add a 3rd setting (where you, supposedly, put in group IDs) to allow access.

Thanks guys! It worked!

However, if I am in the ACP and then click on the "View Forum" link, it just opens a new tab with the same exact page. It doesn't go to the actual forum? Help?

Set so members go to new registered group when they join > change new register group perms so they can see board when it is offline but have view only in all boards

Why not just open the forum so that they can post on it?

When I first start any forum, I like to keep the forum offline except to a certain amount of members that helps me with content and helps with the board in general. When I feel that the board can be opened is the time I actually let others on.
