Hi guys. 🙂 I'm not sure which forum software to go with, right now. At first, I was sure with SMF. But when you create a new board, SMF barely has good features. MyBB seems to have more features. But I hear SMF is more secure...
In other words, I'm stuck in an internal debate. So what do you think? MyBB or SMF? 🙂 Thanks. :great:
By default SMF has what is considered only core features. However there are so many mods for smf that you can use. They are also very easy to install. It is also pretty secure,but even as a fan of SMF myself,it is not as secure as MyBB.
MyBB is also a good easy to use forum software. Plugins easy to install, many many great themes, and it is also very secure more so then SMF.
I personally prefer phpBB instead, but that's obviously not what you are asking. From what I have heard, MyBB is supposed to be pretty easy. MyBB has some amazing themes and I must say, it's almost impossible to make a MyBB forum ugly. 😛
SMF is good as well. Some of the modifications they have available are really nice, and SMF isn't that complicated as well. Also, as you are familiar with ProBoards, SMF has a modification where you can have Headers/Footers like what ProBoards has.
