I'm trying to install a plugin ( Forum Icons) on a MyBB board, the ACP is telling me that the plugin is installed ok, but When I try to use the plugin I get a 403 error.

The plugin is a fairly simple one it only has two folders "Forum Icons" & "inc"

Forum Icons has a png file in it.

inc has the language file, and the plugins file

These are the instructions for installation, the writer is Spanish so his English is poor, so I have given you both the languages !!

english:

ForumsIcons it does is put icons to the forums!

from admin panel and e-forums and there forumsicons enter and set up icons for your forums!

which is functioning properly to create a folder in your root of your forum called

Code:
Forum_Icons
and ready ForumsIcons enjoy!

Created by Edson Ordaz for everyone!

Code:
Forum_Icons

y listo disfruta ForumsIcons!
Saludos!!!

Greetings, Sapper. Did you upload(via FTP) the required files to the root directory of your forum?

Before I continue (sorry should've asked this earlier), what exactly does the plugin do? Is this one that allows you to set custom forum icons?

I allows you to show an extra image next to the forum descriptions

You're aware that you can do that manually right? The area in which you add a description, supports html. After the description, enter </br> <IMG SRC="url of the image here">. But just to be sure in regards to the plugin you are trying to use:- Delete the files you uploaded and re-upload. In your forum directory, open "inc" folder-open "plugins", meanwhile open the download file- open "inc" folder- open "plugin" folder-".php"-(upload this file). Activate the plugin via your admin panel. If you did that correctly and still receiving an error, then I'd suggest you get get in contact with the modder. Hope this helps

sapper, if your getting the 403 error when you click in the ACP, please let me see the link your getting the error on. You can block out your domain name if you wish.

It's nothing to do with the htaccess or anything else to do with the forum, it's the plugin itself.

I can see the issue, I have edited the plugin file and put it in a zip file which is attached to this post. Please disable the plugin, upload this one and then activate it again.

I also provided a custom forum icons plugin to Sapper though PM. Its his choice to which of both he'll use.

The custom one is pretty much inspired from the current one. As in isn't to custom.

Thanks for all the help on this guys 200% better than the official forum, and 500% quicker, but isn't that always the case with FP

REP added for both of you.
So as not to let either of you down, I'll keep it to myself which one I've used !!
