Hey FP!

Well I am working on a brand new MyBB based forum. However, I am having a difficult time trying to think up the warning percentages and points. What would be a good system to set up?

I was thinking basing the system off 100 points where if 100 points was reached (100% warn), the member would be banned. The points would go:

0 - Rule Reminder
20 - Inflammatory Content
30 - Discussion of illegal content
50 - Multiple Accounts

Now, these points are a little odd because I am just thinking right now. Nothing is set in stone. Does anyone have a good system they think would be better or do you use one?

Thanks!

I've never actually used the software based warning system in my years of being an administrator. 😛

I find them silly. If a member is breaking the rules, you can contact them directly and sort things out.

I tend to take preference in not using them as well. Most disputes can be handled easily with a stern talking to.

For a more complex forum, however, the warning system can be quite helpful in assisting its staff in keeping track on of a user's offenses. I'd say what you have is a pretty solid setup. However, I do feel you should make use of expiration dates for any warnings you may issue.
