MyBB with Custom Theme

Hello friends, currently my forum is powered by ElkArte (SMF fork software). I am thinking of using MyBB with Custom Theme. But what i like about ElkArte is it has inbuilt Like, Mentions and Notifications, plus it is light. On the other hand MyBB needs, Like, Mentions, Notifications plugin to be installed and it is kinda light.

What do you suggest, stick with ElkArte or go with MyBB Custom?

I have no knowledge of EA, but MyBB is a great free software. If you can spend some money, go with Xenforo or IPB.

MyBB 100%, I have worked with MyBB since 2011 and it is the best free forum software.

@Chase. Right now i don't have sufficient budget, but once i get the money i will convert it. Till then i will stick with free software 🙂

Both. But MyBB is still very easy to use and edit

MyBB works well with WordPress also if you wanted to go with that option 🙂 meaning an plugin that will allow all in one login

Hmm okay. Let me compare and see what has more benefits and which fits me well

Well, installing MyBB mods isn't that tough - with the exception of the "My Alerts". That thing doesn't have everything bundled in the file - the way it should be. I don't know why.
