How exactly do I install MyBB? It comes with two separate File Folders, unlike Phpbb3.. How do I upload them?

The folders that came with MyBB are Documentation and Upload.

The document folder contains all the information you need to install MyBB or to upgrade it.

The Upload folder contains the files that are needed for MyBB and these can be uploaded to a folder of your choice e.g /forums - /board.

Well if your installing MyBB there is no need to upload the Documentation folder, as all that contains is text files.

So upload all the files within the Upload folder to your directory.

Then access the installer by going to: www.yoursite/install/index.php

For that you need to create a database in your Cpanel
and need to create one user in cpanel
Both will be done in Database section (I don't remeber the exact name for where it will be done ) but for sure in Database section the first option
and Assing it to a user and give all the privilleges

Thans which ever username password you are using for user that you need to put where it ask for username and password when installing

and database name too

You are done!

Create a database > Create a user > add user to the chosen database and give all privelages...

Make sure to attach that user to the that database, some people forget is.

Yes there should be an option to create a new user, and once you have attach it/add it to the database you made. Give it all permissions.

I can't create a new user? But I can create a new Datebase. Which I have done already, but still doesn't work.

In where you created a database, it should have a section to create a user.

That is odd. Try using the database name and password for the username/password.
Edit: Did you get a default database when you signed up? Sometimes they send you the details via email etc.

Databases dont have a password, only the user assigned can.

Woops sorry about that I forgot, well still some hosting companies send a default name and password when you sign up with them. But it's very odd you can't create a new user.
