Yeah, still down, and i have now read alot of BAD reviews of hostblast and when my site is accessable again i will migrate to namecheap immediately, no secound thoughts 😛 support is really crap at hostblast, had enough of them now 😛
 
Update on my shitty webhost, now when i visit https://www.mytechforum.net i'm landing on someone elses website 😡 starting to wonder what that host is doing 😛 no doubt i will change host as fast as my site is up again 😳 and far as support goes they have 6-10 hours responding-time and never commes with something usefull information.

Definitely would recommend getting a new host as soon as possible if that is happening for you. Fortunately it is working correctly for me at this moment. If you need any assistance with switching hosts, feel free to reach out.
 
Hi, i did change host this morning, but awaiting the dns change to take affect. And also need to start the forum from scratch since i did not have a backup myself and my host screwed up their backup when the moved my site to another server 🙁

Oh no! I hate that you lost everything. That is always the worst feeling.
 
Yes, was about to give up at one point, but can't let that breake me down. Just have to try again and try to remember all plugings and categories and so on 😛 the worst was i lost the members, threads and posts. Well life goes on 🙂

I would still reach out to the host and see if they are able to recover anything at all. Even if it is corrupted, you could potentially pull information from the database to help you at least.
 
They had nothing and have deleted my hosting on my money back request, but i found out that i had taken backup of the database, so have something at least 😉

I also now found a full home directory backup in my downloads wich i am trying to restore at this very moment 😀 crossing fingers

I can't get in. I've got the following message:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Access denied for user 'mytechfo_mtforum'@'localhost' (using password: YES) [1045]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.
 
read older posts in this thread 😉 my webhost messed up my site and have moved to another host, but am in the process of restoring a backup who may or may not work 😛 but have shitty internet right now, so guess it takes some time, domain wont work yet anywas since i have changed dns to point to my new host and that can take up to 24 hours 😉

Happy to tell you my backup worked like a charm after i uploded it and the db and configured phpbb's config.php to correct db settings 😀 now i just have to wait for my dns to be up and running 😀
