Some people are narcissistic. For instance, (not making a political comment in this thread) Donald Trump has his name on everything and isn't shy about his image. Of course, many like it - myself, politics aside, don't really like it and wouldn't imitate it. But that's not saying my name is horrible or that I'm unattractive. Well, my real name is sort of bad for promotion - but maybe not.

OK, well, to get around the mess, I always use brand names for promotion (The Math Help etc.) but that could also be narcissism I suppose.

I don't know. I mean, trying to boost your site's activity isn't narcissism. Being an idiot and thinking your site is the best in it's genre, or the most unique thing, that's narcissism. XD.

I haven't been feeling well for a lot of the past few months and now that I'm much more active again, I've noticed a lull in activity. One of the other admins is pretty much awol, the other one is still around a bit. We still have a very loyal user base there, but to be honest, the forum needs a bit of a kick up the ass to get it moving again. Sometimes the only way to do that is to ask for help from others on places like this. In some ways, it's the opposite of narcissism. 🙂

Let me just comment about Donald Trump's narcissistic attitude. I guess that flamboyant character was what made him rich and look at him now, he is the president of the most powerful country in the world. Pardon me if you are a hater of Trump. I am not an American and I base my comment on my own observation. But to be honest I don't really like Trump and neither do I like egoists.

In promoting your brand, my take is a conservative approach to avoid exuding an air of arrogance.

I think you liked him before. I read your posts on other forums, lol.

Yeah, I just don't feel comfortable "branding my name" and it wouldn't just be cause it might be a bad one. But then again, many musicians do, and I don't seem to mind it - as a spectator.
