Have you ever had a near death experience that scares the he'll outta you?

Like almost getting hit by a car or something like that.

well i witnessed my friend nearly getting hit by a car. me and my other friend started being very patronising to him when we had to cross the road like : " now michael, look left and right and left again"

i got pushed infront of a speeding "boy racer" while i was drunk and i went flying over the whole car but landed on my feet and my cig was still lit in my hand... i was really surprised i had no injurys except a really bad back in the morning.

Well last week I almost crashed my car going about 80km/h. Car was going all over the road but I managed to straighten it out.
I was actually talking to a friend last night who has been, among other things, struck by lightning, hit by a car, and almost drowned.

wow deshi. What a story you got there man. No comments lol.

Lets see here.

  1. Nearly got struck by lighting at age 6. Was out in a lighting storm when the bolt hit 20 feet away from me. I was really freaked out.
  2. Nearly ran into a car in my bike. The car was going 25 mph, and I was probably going around 15 mph. Would have totaled the persons car, and sent me to the hospital in pretty serious condition.
  3. Had 40+ experiences crossing the street while walking, where I was nearly hit by people going 35-50 mph.

When is was around 2 years old I ran down my child minders driveway and didn't stop, straight into the path of a car, luckily it was at the end of a cul de sac so the car was not speeding, I had minor cuts and bruises and just one stitch in my head.

When I was around 8-9 years old I was at my cousins christening, jumping around an eating cheese cubes at the same time. A piece of solid cheese lodged in my windpipe and I couldn't breathe or talk so I couldn't tell anyone was was wrong. I could only point and panic. I was starting to go blue.....luckily my older cousin was there and grabbed me around the waist, he did the Heimlich Manoeuvre on me and the cheese just flew straight out! Not being able to breathe for about 30 seconds was really scary, I was certain I was going to die!

I was also present when my husband had not one but two heart attacks on the same day aged 37. To see that happening and to hear the doctors say that he might die 5 times in one sentence was surreal! Luckily he's survived the ordeal.

I suffered a really bad panic attack four years ago and felt like I was going to die, as I felt a very sharp pain in my heart. I'm lucky to be alive though.

When I was about 6 years old, I was playing in the ocean like a normal day. However, we had picked a spot where a rip tide was occurring.

Playing in about waste deep water (i was typical 6 year old height), the water quickly got to where I couldn't touch the bottom. I started to panic and looking back at the shore, I realized how far away from it I was. Panicking harder, I started to thrash about and was screaming at the top of my lungs.

Now, this is where the problems with my father start, not getting into that (MT knows), but it took ten minutes for me to finally be saved. I now have a tremendous fear of open bodies of water, lakes, rivers, etc. I also don't enjoy swimming like I should. That was the most traumatic event of my life and it's still fresh in my memory as if it just happened.

I've had one, lucky me. It wasn't very serious either.

I was riding my friend's bike when I was 9, as mine was much smaller. I had difficulty getting used to it, and I couldn't break very well. One time, I tried to get across the road, but I didn't see an oncoming car, I couldn't break, because my foot couldn't reach the break. I pedaled as hard as I could, and missed the car by inches. (Who was apparently drunk and didn't slow down, or something like that.)
It wasn't serious, but it was close.

When I was 5 my appendix almost burst and that would have killed me. They operated just in the nick of time...

A couple years ago my car broke down on the bay bridge and it let out a big cloud of smoke. On a bridge there is no where to pull over so I was stopped and pretty much invisible behind a dark cloud. Through the smoke I seen headlights coming up fast. I braced myself for impact and when my legs tightened up I guess I stepped on the brake petal and my back brake lights came on. The car (which was a huge hummer going about 70 or 80 MPH) must have seen my brake lights and swerved at the last second only swiping the side of my car. If it didn't swerve at the last second, I would have been dead for sure. After the shock wore off, I jumped out of the car and got away from it because I was afraid someone else would smack into me. Minutes later the highway patrol came and pushed me off the bridge.

Oh about a year ago I was riding my bike and I got hit by a car. It was going slow though & I just got a couple bruises. I jumped off my bike and it ran over my bike. If my leg got caught or something, that car would have ran me over along with the bike. Stupid lady talking on a phone.

She begged for forgiveness and offered to buy me a new bike in exchange for me not calling the police,
