I am trying to implement an active member base on my forums, and so far have not generated much interest. If you haven't yet registered, please do so and make consistently post and participate. Any tips to increase member involvement and activity so that I can get the forum off of the ground?
Thanks for the info, Dentist. I am in the process of getting our staff and members to post more often. It is difficult because I think our staff does the majority of the posting.
One trick I use is to go around on other forums and get ideas for topics off of them, as long as they are related to mine. This also works great for blogs too, by the way.
When you're forum is just starting and getting off the ground, be prepared to be your forum's most active member for a LOOOOONG time. Reply to almost every discussion with something that requires more discussion on the subject, and keep each topic alive. this also helps member's posts seem more appreciated when staff are replying to them, and will encourage them to bring up new topics, and such.
Make sure you positively encourage members and staff to post, not just because you want higher stats.
If you haven't yet registered, please do so and make consistently post and participate
** UPDATE **: The reason Fergal is getting the error message is because guests are not currently permitted to view the Testimonials area, and I am in the process of allowing this.
